Kimi Raikkonen

So if i hate Ferrari so much and would could never make a Schumacher or a Massa without bursting into flames, why make a Kimi? Kimi is different. I believe that if you cut Schumacher or Massa they would bleed Ferrari, Kimi would not. The one thing i have learnt about Kimi over the years is that Kimi only drives for himself.

For many years i supported Kimi, being a Mclaren fan, and when he crossed over to the dark side i was devistaed but i didn't blame him. For years he had out performed his car, we (and by that i mean me and Uncle Ron) had not given him a car that he deserved. I refused however point blank to wear a Red hat, and secretly supported kimi from afar. Athough by the end of 2007, when Alonso and then rookie Hamilton were being naughty at Mclaren, and since "Spygate" meant we couldn't win the constructors title, i so wanted Kimi to win, although it was bitter sweet as he won in the enemy car, but he so deserved it. I still beleieve that if Alonso and Hamilton hadn't been behaving like a pair of toddlers one of them would and should have won that title but Alonso won one that Kimi should have if he hadn't had such an unreliable car. So what goes around comes around.

Kimi to me is the best character on the grid. It is like he should have been a Driver in the 70's. I love the way he just doesn't give a rats ass, he likes to turn up, drive the car and then go back to drinking his vodka, or participating in some snowy sport in Finland.. He doesn't care what anyone thinks, his does things totally his own way usually causing despair to whomever his team boss may be. He is cool, he is fast, and hands down i think has the most talent, when it suits him to apply it that is.

On hearing that Kimi was being "let go" by Ferrari at the end of this season i felt that allowed me to pay tribute to the Kimster. I am praying that he returns to the Mother ship (although i will miss heikki, love him too, i like my Finish drivers) and doesn't decide that he has done the whole F1 thing got the title he wanted and dissapears into some other kind of racing. F1 would be a poorer sport for losing Kimi.

Simply he is just fab. Some drivers have the skills but are as interesting as watching paint dry, some have great personalites but lack the special extra something on the track for me Kimi has a good balance of both. I hope i get to add more to this picture and that he doesn't leave F1.
