At the end of February 2011 I was asked to appear on CNN World Sport pre-season F1 programme, The Circuit. They wanted to use my F1 collages as a back drop for the pre-season discussion, as well as interviewing me for feature.

At this point, the only current drivers I had in collage form were Jenson, Vettel and Webber. They asked me if I could "whip up" a collage of Lewis Hamilton to match, in ten days. All my McLaren related collages were of a larger size than the Red Bull ones. Since Lewis is indeed a McLaren driver, that meant the size had to match. It had taken me weeks to make the other ones this size, so ten days was a big ask.

I set about on a one woman mission to get this completed for the pre-season show, barely sleeping for ten days. Two days before I had finished it, just in time, the Bahrain Grand Prix was cancelled, and the show moved back by two weeks.

My Button, Webber, Vettel and Hamilton portraits were eventually used as a back drop for discussion on CNN's season opening show. A further feature on my work was shown a week later.
